Jami Kirkbride lives on a ranch in Wyoming. She and her husband have four children and enjoy the daily adventures of parenting and marriage.
Jami earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She completed her internship at PsychCare and Family Recovery in Greeley Colorado and then worked at Frontier Correctional Systems. She enjoyed her work with individuals, families, and groups.
As a Certified Personality Trainer, speaker, and writer, Jami is able to share life-changing information about The Personalities. She believes that as people learn more about themselves-- their needs, their strengths, and their struggles-- that they will gain valuable insight into why they do what they do. Likewise, when someone can learn about the personalities of others, they can better relate with those they live with, work with, and deal with. Understanding the foundation of personalities allows us to improve communication, meet needs more effectively, and understand the interactions that occur in relationships.
Jami has also been trained to use the PREPARE/ENRICH inventory in working with couples. This inventory allows a couple to identify the areas of their marriage that are considered a strength or growth area. Couples can then build a healthy marriage as they utilize their strengths and skills to improve the areas that need attention.
Jami is the Wyoming State Coordinator for PSI (Postpartum Support International). She currently holds her PPC (Provisional Professional Counselor) license in Wyoming and is completing hours for an LPC licensure (Licensed Professional Counselor).
Jami’s writing has appeared in Focus On Your Child (through Focus on the Family), Around Cheyenne, on MOPSense radio broadcast and MOPS online, and on Hopegivers.org. She is a contributing author to When God Steps In and Laundry Tales. She is anticipating the release of several of her stories and devotionals in books, whose titles will be announced later this year.
